Dilip is a Banker turned entrepreneur who started his career at HSBC Bank Middle East as Head of Finance and Operations and was Head of Global Markets and Treasury for the group offices of HSBC group in the Kingdom of Bahrain. After two decades with the Bank, in 2010 he joined TWI as an equity partner and CEO.
Third Wave International WLL, prides itself as an enterprise renewal facilitator and has contributed tangibly to the growth of private and public sector organizations in the Kingdom of Bahrain, through consultancy in the areas of Human Resources, Marketing, Quality Management, Research and Learning & Development.
Dilip’s experience, market intelligence and strong network in the Kingdom of Bahrain spanning three decades has helped TWI to collaborate with good value service providers across the globe and extend business opportunities as its technical partners. TWI also supports and facilitates International companies with “Go to market business model” by introduction and structuring strategic alliances with local business partners or support and facilitate independent legal presence in the Kingdom of Bahrain. TWI has collaborative arrangements currently with organisations from Australia, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Croatia, UK & USA.
Dilip is a Fellow Member of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK, and Associate Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Board of Directors. He worked at Ernst & Young, Sri Lanka and Price Waterhouse, Bahrain, prior to his career with HSBC, and has extensive experience in audit and advisory services. Dilip is also a committee member of Bahrain Asian Traders Committee a sub-committee of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCCI). Dilip passionately follows the fortunes of Sri Lanka cricket, plays Tennis, and counsels and mentors young professionals interested in Business.
Joint Managing Director
With over 30 years of corporate experience, one of the youngest to Head HR for a leading Blue Chip Conglomerate at the age of 30 and the youngest Training Manager for a leading five start hotel chain at the age of 25. He has consulted over 600 organizations, across 50 industries including Industry Associations, Blue Chips, Multinationals, Large Conglomerates, Public Sector Organizations, NGO/INGO, family held businesses and SMEs. As a consultant he has served clients across Australia, Japan, Korea, India, UK, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Ethiopia and the Middle East. He has delivered over 2500 training and coaching man days in his career. As MD of Third Wave Group Sri Lanka he has successfully launched and established four separate business enterprises that manage six brands in consulting & training, education, and courier services. This experience complements his expertise in new business development, entrepreneurship and building new business models. His core competencies are in corporate strategy, change management, human capital development, business process re-engineering, service strategy and innovation.
He was a founder member and first branch secretary of the CIM Sri Lanka– the first overseas branch of this association, and the former president of the Association for International Standards. He is an accredited auditor of the Malcolm Baldridge Performance Excellence Model, a Certified Consultant and Auditor for; ISO 9000, ISO 14000, Green Globe and Social Accountability. Stefan is the only accredited trainer in Sri Lanka for HR training from Deakin Prime – corporate training arm of the Deakin University Australia.
His passion for mountain climbing and trekking drove him to reach the Everest Base Camp in 2010 and envisions the day when he can support the first Sri Lankan to summit Mount Everest. His pastime includes outward-bound training in soft and hard adventure and sports motivation where he has mentored a number of national cricketers in their formation stages.
Director Client Relations & Administration
Charmaine is a client relations professional with over 30 years of experience in many industries and sectors including finance, hospitality and HR consultancy. She is also a skilled administrator. She handled Operations and Client relations for Aberdeen Asset Managers, Matheson Bank and GNI. She liaised with clients in the Gulf States and was a member of the Administration Team of Aberdeen Asset Managers. She set up the file management system for Gulf Air. At TWI she was Project Director for the Partner Monitoring Tracking Services Project of Tamkeen. Charmaine is an active member of the Bahrain Netball League and selects and trains teams for the Gulf Championship.
He is a people development professional who has invested the last 14 years, working in multicultural settings.
Sam is a Chartered Management accountant from CIMA (UK). He is also a Chartered Global Management Accountant and a Project Management Professional (PMP) and received his bachelor’s degree from Curtin University in information technology.
Sam’s multidisciplinary professional background and his passion to develop people have enabled him to design and deliver nationally significant talent development solutions for both the public and private sector organisations. DeakinPrime, Australia recognized his contribution to the HR industry in Bahrain. In recent years Sam has provided localization solutions for the hospitality and the retail industries, which have yielded unprecedented results. He has also trained and consulted the Semi-Government, Banking and Finance, and the Training and Education sectors.
Sam is a credentialed ATD Master Trainer and certified business coaching from the Institute of Leadership and Management. Sam is a youth counsellor, follows basketball and plays squash when he can get away from being a passionate family man.
Better known as Adam, he has more than a decade of experience in consulting and training in Marketing Research, Strategic Marketing, Service Quality and Training and Development. He is jointly responsible for the overall operations of the organisation that include consulting and training in the areas of Human Resource, Research, Project Management and Customer Service Enhancements. He is a visiting lecturer for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM, UK) Qualifications and an External Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR, UK) qualifications. Adam is completing his Global Master’s In Business Administration from Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester in 2016. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), UK.
He has trained over 2,500 individuals of different nationalities. Managed assignments which have conducted 350+ Focus Groups, 1,000 In-depth interviews, 20,000+ Surveys using a multitude of tools such as face to face, telephone, e mail and Online tools and overseen over 1,200 mystery audits. He set up the Research arm of TWI which conducts assignments ranging from customer satisfaction surveys to nationwide public opinion surveys. His interests include Marketing, performing as Master of Ceremonies, SCUBA Diving with Sharks and photography. Fallon is a customer relations professional, complements the Third Wave International (TWI) team with six years of experience at a leading private bank in Sri Lanka and with American Express Cards. She earned a first class honours Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and Leadership from the University of Northumbria New Castle UK.
Fallon was responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and execution of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. They include, Bahraini Growing Model with Azadea, Service Blueprinting & Development of Standard Operating Procedures for Khaleeji Commercial Bank and Grooming Bahraini Hospitality Talent for Kempinski Hotel, Sofitel, Le Meridien and the Westin Bahrain. Fallon has likewise facilitated many training programmes conducted by TWI.
Senior Executive – Projects & Admin
Shane is a human resource professional and is skilled in the field of administration. She is trained in project coordination and facilitation, and excels in corporate client communications. She currently manages TWI’s external communications and social media platforms.
Shane played a pivotal role in managing the recruitment and candidate database for Tamkeen’s Hospitality Programs for The Westin, Le Meridien and Sofitel. She was also responsible for the recruitment and management of the candidate database for the Training & Education Performance Support (TEPS) Program, as well as the direction, coordination and facilitation of over 25 workshops, and the completion of over 20 workshop completion reports.
Shane holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Human Resources from Sikkim Manipal University, India and a first class with distinction honors Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with specialization in Manpower Planning from Birla Institute of Technology, India.
In her free time, Shane takes to research and creative writing and discussions on the English Premier League.
Assistant Manager – Projects
Thuraiya helps with Marketing Research, Customer Services and Client Relationships, Training facilitation and coordination and Project management. Thuraiya is the Recruitment specialist and People development facilitator for “Grooming Bahraini Hospitality Talent” Project. She was the Project Coordinator/Field Supervisor for the Tamkeen Impact Assessment study of the Hospitality and Retail Programmes. She was Field Supervisor for the Tamkeen Career Progression and KG Programme’s Satisfaction Survey. Thuriaya is well experienced with managing a variety of surveys, especially with the challenges of identifying appropriate field researchers. She has conducted customer satisfaction surveys, focus groups and assisted with Mystery shopper assessments.
Eshraq is a project coordinator and training facilitator who assists with data analysis and project management. She is a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accounting & Banking and Finance from the Bahrain Polytechnic. Eshraq was a team member of the Career Progression Program, KG Program and the Entrepreneurship Program of Tamkeen, assisting with interviews and data analysis. She was the project coordinator for the Bahrain wide retail census. She also assisted with recruitment, preparing training material and has trained for the Grooming Bahraini Hospitality Talent (GBHT) project.
Errol, a native of Sri Lanka, was educated in the U.K. He has over 35 years of experience in Decision-Making, Optimization, Creative Thinking, and Strategic Planning for Shell Oil Co., Petroleos de Venezuela, Abu Dhabi National Oil Co., Williams and Enron.
As an Oil & Gas industry specialist and a University Professor, Errol has published papers on topics relating to Management, Engineering and Economics.
He has been involved in decision-making methodology, since the early 70's when he was at Shell Oil Co. Today, this process is used in disciplines as diverse as Budgeting, Career Planning, Safety Audits, Real Estate, Purchasing, Bid Evaluation, Recruiting, Performance Evaluations, Customer Rankings, Team Selections, etc.
Fluent in English, Spanish and Sinhalese, he has worked and trained professionals in Asia, Mid-East, Europe, North America and South America. He has a thorough understanding of the impact of cultures and values, on decision-making.
Jeannie has experience in the insurance, education, training and consultancy sectors. Her current role at La Trobe University is to provide high-level administrative support in the development of educational partnership and activity agreements with domestic and international educational providers including TAFE. She also supports the student retention and transition team in implementing retention strategies for the college.
Jeannie’s previous role at Zurich Insurance provided her with the responsibility for the end to end coordination and management of small projects and BAU changes to the marine insurance IT system through strong relationship management.
Her previous roles provided her with the opportunity to gain skills and expertise in working with SME’s to structure content, develop and facilitate training programs and workshops. She has solid experience working with learning management systems, intranets and content managements systems.
She is results driven and have demonstrated experience working in a team environment. She has excellent change management, people management and superior customer relationship skills and is very passionate about adult learning in the workplace
Aubrey, who holds the distinction of being the first non-UK or Irish Global President of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), is a highly reputed Global Trainer in Strategic Finance Transformation, Asset Management Planning, Strategic Management Accounting and Risk.
He possesses vast experience in Training/Development/Consulting and has presented on Financial Transformation to large teams at global giants of the calibre of IBM, Shell, Unilever, Ford, Swire Coca Cola, Time Warner, Rolls Royce and Barclays Bank.
Aubrey’s skills as a highly effective trainer is complimented by the enormous cross cultural exposure he has amassed by functioning in Bahrain, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia and UK.
He possesses significant experience specifically in the Middle East, primarily due to his ten-year tenure as Finance Manager at McDermott International Inc, Dubai UAE.
Now a management coach, mentor and management training provider, contracted to leading global conference, seminar companies and professional bodies, to provide training programmes, Aubrey has been a prolific presenter and conference speaker for over 14 years. He is a regular contributor on management topics for prestigious professional journals and is also a trainer in finance for the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Amar is a versatile, independent marketing communications, PR and qualitative research consultant who wears many hats.
Having started his career in human resource management he switched over to advertising and then ventured on his own by setting up Avanke`Marcom Associates, a Public Relations and Marketing Communications Consultancy in 2004.
During his advertising career, Amar worked for the Sri Lankan offices of Bozell Inc and FCB, (12 years) multi-national Advertising Agencies which are based in U.S.A.
With over close upon 30 years experience in advertising, 10 in Public Relations strategy development, research and civil society work, his experience covers a wide area of disciplines. Whilst working as an external PR and Marketing Consultant for a number of Private Sector companies,he is in the management team of Marga Institute, a civil society initiative and the primer Research Institute in Sri Lanka which dedicates its activities to development studies.
Amar brings to the table his commercial and private sector experience to the Marga Institute and his knowledge and exposure in the area of civil society work to his clients who are engaged in commercial and marketing activity. Amar travels widely and extensively in Sri Lanka in order to engage with Farmer groups, community based & grass root organizations in view of his assignments and projects.
He has also worked in the Middle East as a principal qualitative research consultant on short term market research assignments.
Amar is a communication strategist, creative copy writer (writes content copy for websites, documentaries, brochures, print and electronic media advertisements) and a qualitative researcher.
Shafeek has an extensive background in Hospitality Management spanning over 35 years. He has worked with the InterContinental, Renaissance, Holiday Inn, Oberoi and Cinnamon group of hotels as well as in other reputed independent hotels, holding key managerial positions in operations and hotel branding. He is a customer experience transformist, helping organizations improve business results by changing how they deal with customers. Whilst focusing on corporate education, training and consulting he is passionate about identifying emerging best practices and helping companies become more customer-centric.
